I love the topic of grace! I have experienced the grace of our Savior carry me and take me through otherwise turbulent times. It is a power we can turn to in all moments of our lives. He enhances our efforts, our perspectives and lives. (Some stories and eg in my life here and here) It is a healing, guiding, sanctifying power! It transforms us. Ultimately, it is how we are saved!

I have noticed when that when I am stressed, worried, frantic and my life feels overwhelming I am probably in that state because I am trying to carry my load alone… I have learned to let my mind and heart come back to calmness and stillness through prayer and conscious effort so I can realign myself back to Christ. It is then that I can let myself feel that sweet and uplifting power of grace carrying me and direct me once again. We can learn to come back to grace over and over again until it is natural and instinctive. We can create a habit of abiding in grace! (see how this is repentance working in our everyday lives)
Here is an aha moment I had a week or two ago that posted on my fb page:
God’s way of blessing us isn’t typically by preventing unfortunate events. He allows life to happen, people to make choices and consequences to follow. That is life and how we learn. His blessing come when we align with His goodness and that is what helps us rise above the suffering of this mortal sphere. This allows us to enter into his Eternal grace where circumstances have little or no impact on the peace and joy we can continue to experience. It is then we hold the greatest positive impact on our circumstances. That is one of the greatest gifts of God. That gift is unlocked with our willingness to train our heart and mind to continually seek Truth in all circumstances.
I think one of the best ways analogies of how grace works in our lives can be found in Matthew 11:28-30:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”
This tell us He can help us carry our burdens when we seek and act with His grace! He his load is LIGHT and EASY because it is of love. He helps us remove the grueling, heavy and unnecessary burdens of anger, hatred, fear, sin, worry, and despair. He replaces those with love, clarity, peace and hope. It is something we can only do through the merits and mercy of Christ.
He doesn’t change what we have to do, He changes our attitudes and hearts so everything in our lives becomes more enjoyable, and fulfilling. So what we HAVE to do becomes what we WANT to do. That is the power of His grace.
